IXDS Pre-Work Talk – Game Thinking

8 September 2015 @ 8:3010:00

Free

The next Pre-Work Talk in Berlin is already around the corner. This month we’ll talk about game thinking. We’ll have Anjin Anhut from How not to suck at game design and Christoph from Die Hobrechts over for a talk.

We look forward to welcoming you on Tuesday September 8th at 8.30 am to our office at Paul-Lincke Ufer 39/40.

Play-Think

By Anjin Anhut – freelance designer, art director and teacher with a 10-year background in games, comics and animation

From his studio in Berlin, Anjin works with international production companies, publishers, advertisers, schools and non-profit organisations to create colourful and playful solutions for all sorts of problems.
Thanks to the expansion of the video game industry, the world is re-learning how to play. It’s time the world is re-learned how to make a game. Making games is easier than you think and maybe more relevant than you expect.

Applied Game Design – How Game Designers see the world

By Christoph Brosius, CEO of “Die Hobrechts”

Videogames are the most influential form of media today, shaping the preferences and expectations of a whole generation. Yet, using the expert knowledge of those who create these experiences is still a largely untapped resource. Come along and get an idea of the way these designers think and how Game Design can be applied to a context outside of the gaming industry.
