Talk & Play #34

November 27 @ 19:0023:00

Free

RSVP via Meetup is mandatory to attend the talks, due to limited seating capacity. Registration won’t be required to attend the event from 21:00 for the game showcase part.

Talk & Play is a free event, taking place every two months, that provides the opportunity to game enthusiasts, players and makers to meet in a friendly, relaxed and safe environment. Everybody’s welcome, regardless of their background and knowledge level: if you like games, we’ll make sure you have a good time! This is NOT an event only aimed at developers.

Talk & Play is kindly sponsored by Kickstarter, a global community built around creativity and creative projects. https://www.kickstarter.com

HOW IT WORKS

The event is structured in two parts:

— TALK: Short game-related presentations + announcements from the community

— PLAY: All participants are welcome to exhibit games and projects they’ve made

• • • • •

THE TALKS

Talks will be announced in early November.

After the talks, we’ll have some “pitching” sessions, during which a selection of game makers will briefly present their projects, that you’ll be able to play in the second part of the evening.

As usual, there will also be a section dedicated to short announcements from the community – get in touch to reserve a spot: http://berlingamescene.com/contact/

THE SHOWCASE

Have you made a game, or are you working on one? Would you like to exhibit it for the audience to play during the second part of the event? Then fill this form: http://bit.ly/talkandplaygames. Places are limited so the sooner you do it, the better.

All types of games (and game-related projects) are welcome, both digital and analog/physical, regardless of the current status (released, unreleased, prototype…) and the people behind it (company, students, hobbyists…).

Registrations will close a week before the event, or earlier if there are no more spots left. We can usually show around 20 projects, and we have a smaller separate room that works well for VR.

We can provide tables, chairs, power strips and internet connection – that means that all the rest (devices, chargers, controllers…) are up to you. If your project has sound, we recommend bringing a pair of headphones for the attendees to use, as the room gets quite noisy.
