EnergyHack Reloaded

14 November 2015 @ 11:0023:55

Free

This November the Open Knowledge Foundation Germany and Stromnetz Berlin (Berlin based energy provider) will be hosting the second edition of the Energy Hackathon in Berlin. The “Energyhack Reloaded” will take place on the 14th of November and examine the topics of blackout, crisis response and energy supply in general. We would love to have some participants from the gaming community aboard to make a colourful contribution to the project outcomes.

We want to elaborate which tools and applications can raise awareness for the issue of security of energy supplies in the general public. How could blackouts be simulated? Which tools and services are useful in the event of a sudden blackout? Which ad hoc communication systems can be established?

We will provide interesting new datasets, and a wide array of hardware to experiment with: arduinos, raspberries, cardboard glasses, smart meters etc.

Participation is free of charge. There will be food and you have the chance to win, amongst other great prizes, tickets to the 29C3, hardware kits, blackout survival kits and much more. Applications can be made here: https://www.eventbrite.de/e/energy-hack-reloaded-tickets-6830970617
