Talk & Play is a free event that provides the opportunity to game enthusiasts, players and makers to meet in a friendly, relaxed and safe environment. Everybody’s welcome, regardless of their background and knowledge level: if you’ve got any interest in games, we’ll make sure you have a good time! This is NOT an event only aimed at developers.

  • TALK: Game-related presentations + announcements from the community
  • PLAY: All participants are welcome to exhibit projects they’ve made

Carolin Wendt: Managing a game community. How to get started & keep going
Carolin has recently published the book “Pocket Mentor to Game Community Management“. In this talk, she will go through some of the key takeaways, from the base pillars of community management, what to consider when creating a strategy, to making your spaces positive and inclusive to as many players as possible.
Carolin Wendt is a professional with more than nine years of games industry experience. She leads a team of international community managers at CD PROJEKT RED. In addition to a strong passion for games and learning about the most obscure things, she’s armed with a master’s degree in Political Science.

Happy Broccoli Games: How to make a commercial game – in 6 months – in 10 minutes
Making games is hard. Making games quickly is even harder. We will share our experiences creating & releasing Duck Detective in under a year!
Annika & Joni are co-conspirators at Happy Broccoli Games, a small indie studio based in Berlin. Working on whimsical narrative-focused games!

Leonie will be the host for this edition of Talk & Play.

Alcoholic drinks will not be sold or allowed to be consumed during the event.

The event is free to attend, but donations are welcome. We usually pass around a donation box after the talks.
