We are looking for a code leader, responsible for growing a team from early pre-production through launch and beyond. You’ll start by contributing some of the first bits of code to the project. As the project moves from prototyping to production and beyond, you’ll grow the team to match the increasing demands from other departments. You’ll collaborate with other leads to meet shared goals and hit milestones. As the team grows, your focus will shift to mentoring, holding code reviews and ensuring people have what they need to get the job done.

The Lead Unity Developer reports directly to the Technical Director

What will you do?

• Hire, manage and lead a team of passionate game programmers
• Design and implement technical solutions for departments across the game team
• Contribute code to the project, and evangelise best practices

What are we looking for?

• Comfortable in a variety of languages, but an expert in C#
• 5+ years professional programming experience
• 2+ years experience leading teams
• Full Stack (Prior development working with client / server game systems)
• Demonstrated knowledge of team programming practices
• Experience with Unity
• Strong data structures, logic, distributed systems and algorithm skills
• Experience optimizing large projects
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Shipped multiple console/multiplatform titles
• Real passion for video games
• Domain knowledge across multiple areas (gameplay, networking, rendering, web services, animation, optimization, physics, etc)

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Computer science, mathematics, physics, or related degree
• Experience with distributed development
• Experience working with outsourcing
• Experience operating a live game
